About the club
North Walsham Hockey Club was formed in 1997 by the merger of the existing women’s and men’s clubs. The intervening period has seen the club develop, particularly in the last few years, and it was one of six clubs shortlisted in 2009 by England Hockey for the “Club of the Year” award, “A small club with big ideas, moving forward rapidly...that embodies fair play and team work at all levels.”
The Club also runs a junior section and is committed to making hockey accessible to children in its local Primary and High Schools. NWHC was awarded Clubmark in 2008 and has established a strong Club School Link with North Norfolk School Sport Partnership.
